“Action films are what I’m known for as an actor. As a director I can use the medium to express my creativity in a different way and after acting in 40-some films, directing presents a broader challenge to me while still keeping me in touch with my core audience.”

Dolph explains: “Action films are an extension of Greek Myths such as Homer's The ILIAD. Everybody's life has a mythical quality. Even today. You struggle against obstacles -- you fight to get to a higher level. There are always friendships and great loves to help you along the way.

In an action film these story elements are just more apparent.

That's why people will always crave action movies."
